Sex Toy Mama

I am an iTouch addict.  I don’t have a phone service that’s compatible with the iPhone — not really interested in switching to the ones that are — but I love the features that the i-devices offer.  I’m a mom with young kids, and other ladies in similar situations know how difficult it can be to keep track of soccer games, doctor’s appointments, work schedules, school schedules, parent/teacher conferences, and more.  So the scheduler is vital.  But what’s also great with it are the apps you can download.  The games, the various little information apps, the video apps…

I was scrolling through some of the popular apps when I found some sex position apps (oh  yes, there’s an app for that).  I downloaded a couple and looked through them, but they were either painfully repetitive, limited, or poorly designed.  So my husband and I were laying in bed together, looking at them, and I decided to check out iTunes to see what all was available in that genre of apps.  And that’s when I came upon iKamasutra.  I gotta love their tagline: “There’s a position for that.”  And seriously… there is.

You don’t have to have a credit card to get your hands on this app.  There are three different versions available.  There’s the iKamasutra Free version with 20 positions to get your feet wet, and decide if you like the interface.  (Though, I honestly don’t see why you wouldn’t!)  If you decide to move up from there, you can buy the iKamasutra paid version for $.99.  (I’ve been to the book stores, you can’t buy Kama Sutra books for that price.)  With this version, you go from 20 positions, to 100 positions.  And finally, you can move up from the standard paid version to the iKamasutra Pro version for an additional $.99, to bring you to a total of 140 positions.  So for less than you’d pay for a small package of condoms, you could have 140 positions, categorized and explained, right there on your iPhone or iTouch.

Some of the positions are your basic, everybody-knows-them positions, and some of them are much more creative and unique.  I can tell you from experience, some of them are much more difficult than they look!  There are a couple as well that I’m pretty sure were not in the original Kama Sutra, but look entertaining, nonetheless.  I also found a few that I know for a fact that I could never physically pull off, but they’re certainly fun to look at and contemplate, haha!

There are several great features that are offered in this app:

- You can mark off positions as you try them, to be listed in the “Tried” category.
- The app tracks your progress as you try them out, and you can follow your progress on a graph that it fills in for you.
- You have the ability to add a security passcode to the app.  Don’t worry about  your nosy friends getting into it to see the positions you’ve done — or your kids opening it and seeing things that they shouldn’t necessarily be seeing!
- The figures performing the acts aren’t pornographic and overly detailed in nature, but are clearly laid out enough that you can see what’s going on.  Too often you find websites or books, etc, that have very vague illustrations, and you can’t really tell exactly what they’re telling you to do.
- For the more exhibitionistic users, you can post your progress with your friends on Twitter and Facebook right from the app!
- If you ever want to try a new position, but are undecided which one to try, give your device a small shake, and a random position pops up on the screen!
- Each position initially has an often amusing little comment underneath, but if you tap on it, it opens for a more thorough description of the position.

I could literally sit here all day and tell you the many amazing features of the app, but really, you should go and download it and discover them for yourself!  For only pocket change, you can have all of this literally at your fingertips.  It’s so easy to use, that you could even grab it and pick out positions mid-coitus and switch around!  (My particular favorite is the Prison Guard!  There’s a screenshot of that one below!)

I definitely give this app an A++ and five stars!  To make it even more fun, my husband and I have challenged a friend of ours to see who can reach Master rank the fastest!  (It’s that competitive spirit in us.)  If you download and try out iKamasutra, please, let me know what you think!
